Election Night 2011: Remembering Jack Layton

Jack Layton, federal NDP leader from 2003 to 2011, died August 22, 2011, after battling cancer. This short video looks back to May 2, 2011, the eve of an historic federal election just three short months before Mr. Layton's death. The NDP leader is seen celebrating his party's most successful election campaign; an election that propelled the NDP into the official opposition.  Mr. Layton promises to stand up for a Canada where no one is left behind.
