Helping a Chick Hatch | Saving a Chick that Has Pipped but Not Zipped

It was do or die, so because we knew she would die with zero intervention we decided to help this chick who was stuck in the shell. This video is educational in helping to understand the anatomy of the egg and the process the chick goes through in order to hatch. The entire hatching took 4 hours as we tried many times to assist and then put her back in the incubator to give her a chance to do it on her own. Drying off and allowing the umbilical cord to fall off took the entire night! This is a game of patience!
