In this video, I will show you how I reduced the 12 hours charging using one 120 volt plug to 6 hours using two 120 volt plugs that are on different circuit. It's not as fast as the 2.5 hours but much improves the charging times and not have to spend thousands to get a level 2 setup in the garage.
Disclaimer: Lexus does not support this method of charging. Make sure you know what you are doing and ensure you have a professional to install a 2nd plug from a different circuit for this to work. If the external plugs of your house is on a different circuit, you could consider extending he extension cord to that to get your second plug.
