A step-by-step tutorial on how to create soft, unstructured mermaid waves. Using the Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler’s Coanda smoothing dryer (engineered to quickly dry hair for styling) – and 30mm long barrel (creates voluminous curls and waves in both directions).
0:06 Start with towel-dried hair
0:08 Apply your favourite styling product
00:21 Comb mid-lengths and ends with the Detangling comb
00:29 Attach Coanda smoothing dryer
00:33 Select Drying mode
00:36 Choose high speed, high heat
00:42 Pre-dry the hair
00:50 Divide hair into sections
00:56 Attach the 30mm long barrel
01:00 Set airflow direction to curl away from the left side of your face
01:04 Start on the bottom left section
01:07 Wrap a small piece of hair around the barrel, leaving out the ends
01:12 Hold in place until dry
01:14 Set with Cold shot for 5-10 seconds
01:19 Slowly release curl
01:22 Repeat on top left section
01:33 Change airflow direction and repeat on the bottom right section
01:47 Move to the top right section
01:58 Separate the curls with the Detangling comb
