Switzerland plans to discuss the outcomes of the Peace Summit, which took place on June 15-16, with Russia and China. This was announced by Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis at a press conference following the Summit. In response to a clarifying question about the specific topics to be discussed, the Foreign Minister asked for understanding that he would not speak more concretely on this matter. He noted that during the preparation for the Summit, Switzerland saw the impossibility of involving Russia in the peace process from the very beginning but was promised that it would be included when the time came.

As a reminder, the first Global Peace Summit, initiated by Ukraine, was held in Switzerland. Delegations from 92 countries and 8 international organizations participated. The summit aimed to agree on three of the ten points of Ukraine's "peace formula" at the highest level – concerning nuclear and food security, and the release of Ukrainian prisoners and deported persons, including children.
