Suzuki's popular Swift hatchback is due to be replaced with a new-generation model in the coming year, with mild-hybrid technology looking likely. The 2024 Suzuki Swift is expected to be unveiled in the coming months, with the Swift Sport likely to follow in the first half of next year, according to overseas reports.
Japanese magazine BestCar claims Suzuki will debut the Swift with a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid technology, and could be based on an engine currently available for European markets to ensure low tailpipe emissions.
However, given Australia's more relaxed emissions laws, it's not clear which engine our market will get at this early stage.
