If Allah is Absolute Merciful, Why Does He Allow Evil in the World? (The Problem of Evil)

English Version of The Problem of Evil: The Problem of Evil | Prof. Caner Tas...

In philosophy, how the existence of God and the evil observed in the world coexist is put forward and discussed as a problem. I believe that two elements are very basic in explaining why evil exists. One of them is human will, and the second is that we are in the world of testing, both of which are very interrelated. Giving people willpower is really a very valuable thing in itself, but it has a price. Giving willpower means that one can choose evil as well as good. Although she/he has the potential to do evil, it means choosing the good. That is what makes good valuable. For example, you may not help the poor, but you have the opportunity to help the poor, and you do so. Occasionally, you have the power to be rich, happy by stealing people's possessions by stealing them, but by choosing not to do that, you have chosen good for evil. Although you have the opportunity to do evil, not choosing it, choosing the good makes your deeds valuable. Therefore, the existence of human will is very important explanation in terms of the question why evil exists. A lot of people ask questions like why does Allah test us? And they do not understand why we are in the world of examinations, but ask them a question like this: then explain why we are in this world?  When you ask this question, you will see that no one can provide a better explanation than the statement we are here because of the world of examinations. It is important to note that some people are trying to jump into the absence of Allah with the problem of evil. However, we can prove the existence of Allah with independent arguments without revealing such a problem. For example me, in my book 12 Evidence of Allah's Existence , with cosmological evidence, evidence of the potential of the universe, evidence of the discoverability of the universe, precise settings; With the proofs of consciousness, evidence of morality, evidence of will, I have revealed how God's existence is understood both from the human nature and from the universe. In other words, we are able to reveal the existence of Allah independently without going to this problem. Therefore, the problem of evil can never be a starting point for showing the absence of Allah.
After the existence of Allah is revealed, when we pursue the explanation of why we are here, we see that there is no better explanation than the world of trial. That explains why evil exists. In the meantime, it should not be forgotten that in a world of trial, suffering and troubles, which are described as evil, contribute to the spiritual development of human beings and are a blessing in this respect. One of the most important claims of monotheistic religions is that after death we will be interrogated and according to our deeds we will be in heaven or hell. Hell is described as an area where distress, pain, and what one does not want. The existence of evil in this world allows us to see that hell is not a bluff. Because we are experiencing distress and pain in this world through the existence of the evils in the world. But this shows and grounds us how serious the threat in the Hereafter, the Hell is said to be in the Hereafter. By tasting this in this world it is based on the fact that Allah the creator of the universe can allow an environment where people do not want to be. In addition, let us look at this world life in terms of the paradigm revealed by religion; facing an eternally long life, life in this world is incidental like a dot. From the perspective of the paradigm of religion, all the evils and sorrows within this single point are so ordinary and simple, that besides infinite happiness, they all go down to a tiny point. If you blow it, it won't be there. But those who do not understand the existence of the Hereafter greatly exacerbate the evil, sadness and troubles in the world. Because all that exists in their perspective is limited to this world. But a Muslim does not have to respond to a criticism brought to Islam or to the existence of God by ignoring its paradigm, which is already coming to criticism. But because the world life in that paradigm is a very limited life against long life, evil turns into something very insignificant in that paradigm, and there is no such thing as an evil problem. According to the paradigm revealed by religion, our reason for living in this world is to establish a relationship with God, to turn to Allah. Or we don't exist to be happy in this world. There is nothing contrary to being happy in this world. We will be happy, we thank God, but happiness is not our main reason in this world.
