Yoga Journal video contributor Sky Cowans tries DRINKING CELERY JUICE for one week, in our second episode of YJ Tried It, a new YJ series where Sky tries all sorts of alternative modalities and emerging trends in the yoga and health world!

Celery juicing has become a major trend in the wellness space amongst yogis and health fanatics. With reported benefits of improving digestion, clearing skin, reducing cravings, and assisting weight loss, celery juice fanatics rave about its magic.

The recommended dose is 16 oz of fresh, organic celery juice in the morning on an empty stomach, according to the internet and also Dr. Jess Peatross, a functional medicine doctor who has had success "prescribing" celery juice to her patients dealing with all sorts of health issues.

Sky interviews Dr. Jess in this video about celery juice and its benefits and the current science and research we have on celery juice. Dr. Jess explains why juicing celery is different than eating celery and why it's important to be drinking fresh, organic celery juice.
