Grand Theft Auto 5, is an action-adventure video game made by Rockstar North and released by Rockstar Games. The game blends elements of the driving and action-adventure genres, with open-world gameplay that allows players to interact with the game world at their leisure. The game is set in the fictitious state of San Andreas, based on Southern California, and features the huge city of Los Santos (influenced by Los Angeles) and an expansive countryside.
The single-player plot is told by three player-controlled protagonists (Michael, Trevor, and Franklin), whom the player can rotate between. The plot revolves around their attempts to organize and carry out six massive heists in order to accumulate wealth. Michael, a retired professional bank robber, returns to crime after striking a deal with the FIB. Trevor, Michael's longtime friend, is a volatile psychopath. Franklin, a young repo worker with driving skills, enters the criminal underworld after meeting Michael during a hustle.
Amanda De Santa, Michael's wife; their children Jimmy and Tracey; Franklin's friend Lamar; Trevor's neurotic friend Ron; and Franklin's boss, Simeon Yetarian.
GTA V also includes new activities including yoga, triathlons, jet skiing, base jumping, tennis, golf, and scuba diving.
