A beginning to end playthrough
A beginning to end playthrough of Grafitti and Virgin Interactive's 1995 PC Dos arcade racing game, Screamer.
An amazing showpiece for the early Pentium processors, rivaling the quality of both Daytona USA and Ridge Racer in terms of graphics, speed, and playability. If only this had been released as a coin-op!
This playthrough covers the championship mode through all difficulty levels up until the bullet car is unlocked. The end of the video then features a few races using the amazing bullet car, that while fun, totally unbalances the game's challenge if you insist on using it.
This is running in VGA mode - not only is it a bit more nostalgic, but it is also much more stable than the SVGA version. Since none of the computers available when this was released were capable of playing the game smoothly at 640x480, the game is prone to crashing quite often.
