The Portuguese in Sri Lanka (1505)

The Portuguese showed up in Sri Lanka in 1505 and set up exchange relations with the Kotte kingdom. During the mid-sixteenth century, their expectations were coordinated towards protecting their exchanging advantages, especially the lucrative spice exchange.
