Hey guys, we had a very unexpected problem with our car yesterday. It is a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with only 60k miles. We filled it up at a gas station and 10 miles later the car started misfiring, it died on us a few items. One of the times was even in the middle of an intersection so we had to push it out of the way. I had a scanner with me and we had the following codes: P0300 Misfire, P0301 Cylinder 1 misfire, P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire, P0303 Cylinder 3 misfires, P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfires.
We removed the fuel rail and it full of water instead of gas. Being away from home and on the road the best solution that we could try was HEET additive water remover. 10 minutes later the car was running like brand new with no problems.
We would recommend to use water remover additive in the winter.
