Biden and China's Xi meet face-to-face in California

US President Joe Biden and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping meet ahead of the APEC summit. "We have to ensure that competition does not veer into conflict. And we also have to manage it responsibly," Biden said as they began talks at an estate south of San Francisco.
