In this video I explored an abandoned recycling factory in Cleveland, Ohio that was built between the 1960s and 70s.
In 1987, the recycling plant changed ownership and was purchased by a company named Strategic Materials.
When this factory was fully operational, It processed a wide variety of glass and plastic materials which would be used to make containers, fiberglass, highway reflecting beads, and many other products.
Although it looks as if its been a much longer, this factory has only been abandoned since 2011.
Being exposed to the elements has taken a toll on the structure of this factory.
This factory will demolished due to the out of date machinery and the irreversible damage to the structure.
