Maklube is a delicious and hearty Arabic dish. This dish looks very festive on the table😍


📝Ingredients:
4 medium eggplants (young preferably)
500 gr chicken fillet (thighs, drumsticks can be used)
250 gr rice
200 gr minced meat (for decoration)
50-100 gr almonds (for garnish)
550 ml chicken broth
1 onion
1 tablespoon 7 spices
Salt to taste

Preparation:
Boil the chicken, adding cardamom, cloves, peas, bay leaves, onions.
Once the chicken is ready to remove the skin and cut the chicken into small pieces (also remove the bone)
Cut the eggplants into lengths up to 1 cm wide.
Next, heat the oil in a skillet, and fry the eggplants on both sides until golden brown, just do not overcook, otherwise they will taste bitter. Place them on napkins to absorb excess oil.
Rinse the rice in cold water to get rid of the starch. Then add the seasoning "7 spices" to the rice and mix well (as shown in the video)

Cover the bottom and sides of the pan with ready-made eggplants, then the next layer of chicken and the third layer of rice, pour the broth.
We put the pan on high heat, when it starts to boil, we reduce the heat to a minimum.
This dish is prepared for about 40-60 minutes. Pierce with a spoon and see if there is liquid at the bottom, when there is almost no liquid, close the lid tightly, and leave to brew for 15-20 minutes.
Then, taking the saucer in which you will serve Maklyube, gently press it to the edges of the pan and turn it over.
Sprinkle fried minced meat and separately fried almonds on top of the dish, if desired.
