Power Hour Stocks: What Is It and How Do I Take Advantage of It?

If you’re like most traders, or a part time trader, you can’t sit in front of your computer all day ...
If that’s the case, you need to learn how to take advantage of power hour.
Power hour is when the biggest power moves come in low-price stocks. There are technically two power hours during the trading day: 9:30–10:30 a.m., and 3–4 p.m.
The vast majority of volatility and opportunities occur during these time periods — learn to take advantage of them!
When you focus on specific time periods you can start to predict potential risks and rewards.
Trading isn’t an exact science. Stocks all act differently. But the patterns can be predictable if you study and master them.
There are opportunities in both morning and afternoon power hours. Morning panics are my favorite pattern. In the afternoon, I like stocks that are close to hitting new highs for many reasons.
You need to start thinking about stock patterns: what kind of pressure catalysts create and what that could indicate will happen the next day.
