Dal Makhani Recipe Details
Ingredients
Whole urad dal ¾ cup
Chana dal ¼ cup
Rajma ¼ cup
Salt As per taste
Mustard oil ½ cup
Hing pinch
Ginger 2tbsp
Garlic 4 tbsp
Deghi mirch pwd 3 tbsp
Tomato puree 1cup
Butter 4tsp
Cream 100 ml
Roasted kasoori methi 1 tbsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Method:
Wash whole dal thoroughly by rubbing it.
In a pan add whole dal, rajma and channa dal and jst boil it for 1-2 mins.
Drain all the water and transfer it to a pressure cooker. Add water, salt and mustard oil. Cook it for 5-6 whistles.
Heat a lagan/pot, add mustard oil, hing, ginger paste and garlic paste. Saute it well.
Later add deghi lal mirch powder and tomato puree. Cook it well.
Next add boiled dals and water. Simmer it for 2 hours.
Lastly add butter, roasted kasoori methi, garam masala and cream.
Adjust salt as per taste and serve it in a bowl.
