This tutorial will show you Index Match multiple criteria, what does that mean? Well, you no doubt have progressed onto the Index Match function from VLookup in most of your formulas. What though if you don't have a unique identifier for each row in your range? If that is the case you can follow this tutorial to help you.

In this tutorial if the Company Name, Contact Name, Order Date and Product are all the same then we are going to assume that this is a unique row and hence we can use this row to match data in another table.

Using Index Match with multiple criteria is possible in Excel. Especially when you need to uniquely identify a row without an ID column as in this example.
