Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) was born in and died in, at age 44, Concord Massachusetts. Mr. Thoreau was a prolific writer of poems, essays (E.G., Civil Disobedience), and novels of which Walden is the best known. He wrote essays against slavery and believed that humans where inherently good but it was human institutions that corrupted them. Henry died during the second year of the American Civil War. Michael O’Keefe (1955 - ) was born in Mount Vernon, New York. Michael studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and New York University. Mr. O’Keefe first appeared on screen in the forgotten TV series The Texas Wheelers. He is best known for his roll in the movie Caddyshack. Michael O’Keefe has an extensive list of guest starring appearances on TV shows such as; MASH, The Waltons, Police Story, House, among others. Michael O’Keefe received a best support actor Oscar nomination for his roll in The Great Santini.
