They say the original camera sensors that used CCD Charge-coupled device are reminiscent of how film looks with more character than the new CMOS Complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor sensors.
I bought a Canon G5 and I also bought an Olympus E500. I thought the DSLR and interchangeable lens' of the Olympus would be better and it still has the Kodak KAF-8300CE sensor.
I shot everything in JPEG SHQ super high quality and HG High Quality. As for the whole thing about looking like film... I really could not tell the difference. But I guess it has a more pleasing look. Probably all in my head. I was happy just to shoot jpeg and not edit RAW files all day... A pleasant change...
Now shooting with this old clunker from the early millennium was a challenge... We take it for granted how easy mirrorless cameras have made it for us armatures. Still, it was fun and cheap... got it for $200 on Facebook.
It came with the 17.5mm to 45mm and the 40mm to 150mm kit lenses.
It was 40 Celsius at 10am... Poor Jerry was not having it... so she demanded we go home and put the air con on and watch Con Air.. She loves bunnies.
Thanks for watching... Ill do more of this Digicam revolution that I am late to the party with... Always following the trends... never setting them...
