Our Incredible European Cup Triumph 1974! | 50 Year Anniversary | Documentary

After winning 3-0 against Ujpest Budapest in the semi finals of the European Cup of national champions, FC Bayern faced off against Atlético Madrid in the finale in Brussels. The game went to extra time, in which Madrid scored first, courtesy of Luis (114.). FC Bayern came back, thanks to an amazing long shot by Schwarzenbeck (119.). Back in 1974 this did not mean that the game would end in a penalty shootout but rather in a new game between the two teams, starting from zero. Said game took place two days later. This time, FCB took control early, as the legend himself, Uli Hoeneß scored in the 29th minute. In the second half, Gerd Müller scored twice to extend the lead to 3-0, before Hoeneß also scored his second goal of the day, ending the match at 4-0, making FC Bayern the winners of the European Cup of national champions.
