Putin Attends Vietnam State Banquet During Hanoi Visit

Russian President Vladimir Putin is seeking to strengthen ties with longtime partner Vietnam. He held talks with Vietnamese President To Lam in Hanoi on Thursday. Russia is keen to maintain “close and effective cooperation” in energy, industry, technology, education, security and trade, said its ambassador to Vietnam. Vietnam has sought Russia as a strategic hedge against great powers in the region.
