2024 Vote of No confidence (VoNC) in Papua New Guinea

Leader of Government Business and Finance Minister Renbo Paita moved the motion for a Confidence Vote for PM Marape, which was immediately met with resistance from the Opposition. Despite the Opposition's protest, the Acting Speaker allowed the vote to proceed, prompting them to storm out of the chambers. PM Marape received 84 votes in favor, with no opposition, securing confidence. The Private Business Committee will deliberate the amended notice for a Vote of No Confidence next Wednesday.
