The hexacon in motion

This is the first hexacon prototype (originally, I named it Parabolicon). The hexacon is the second member of the polycon family, which I discovered in 2017. The polycons are developable rollers (solids whose surface is created by a self-intersecting ruled surface that encloses a convex 3D space). Like the tetracon (sphericon) (my first discovery) and the oloid the hexacon's whole surface is made of a single smooth developable surface. Like the tetracon, and unlike the oloid, while rolling, its center of mass maintains constant height, so its motion is smooth. Unlike the tetracon and the oloid, the distance between any two opposite planes that are tangent to its surface is constant, so that during all rolling duration its height doesn't change. It has 6 parabolic edges and 8 vertices, 6 of which, define a regular hexagon, which divides the hexacon into two congruent parts. The hexacon circumscribes a regular octahedron whose 6 vertices lie on the 6 hexacon's edges.
