Sheera or Suji Ka Halwa is a quick delight to satisfy your taste buds. Sheera is also offered to the God as Prashad which is very easy to prepare.

INGREDIENTS:
Rava/Suji - 1/2 Cup (95 g)
Ghee - 2 to 3 tsp
Cashew nuts & Raisins - 1/2 Cup
Sugar - 1/2 Cup (120 g)
Water - 1.5 Cups (360 ml)
Food colour (Orange) - Optional
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
TIPS:
* Dry roast suji/rava on medium low or low heat. Keep stirring to avoid burning suji at the bottom.
* Keep stirring while adding roasted suji in to the sugar water as it tends to form lumps.
* Switch off the heat once sheera starts to leave the sides of the pan and tends to become lumpy.
* You can add your favorite dry fruits & nuts into this dish.
* For 1 part of rava/suji add 3parts of water (Rava:Water = 1:3)
* Equal parts of rava/suji and sugar (Rava:Sugar = 1:1) Sugar quantity can be adjusted according to your taste palate.
