Age of Wonders 4 has a very complex XP formula that you can use to calculate how much experience points each unit will earn after winning a combat. In this video, I will go over the XP formula, a few tips for making the most out of the XP you get from combats, and then showcasing how I used them to quickly defeat an AI in a 1v1 on the Brutal difficulty settings. If you think my advice is not quite right, I would love to hear your feedback in the comments section below. If there are any other topics you would like to see me cover, feel free to let me know about that in the comments section too. https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/YnsmFLtnaYw Intro https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/YnsmFLtnaYw Understanding how the XP Formula works https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/YnsmFLtnaYw Showcasing how to use the XP Formula to get more XP out of fights WRITTEN XP FORMULA If your number of units is greater than half the number of enemy units (ex: if you bring 4 to fight against 6), then use the normal equation: G = T*D*M = essentially means each of your friendly units shares equally from an experience pool from the defeated enemies G = experience gained by each of your unit T = Total sum of all experience from enemy units killed; Most enemy units are worth experience = 2+2*their tier; tier 1 = 4 exp, t2 = 6 exp, etc I think Heroes are worth experience points = 5+5*their level D = Exp distribution = 1 divided by the number of allied units in the fight = the total experience is shared equally among your units, with decimals always rounding up in the final calculation M = relevant experience modifiers on that individual unit = are things like adaptable which gives +30% to your culture units, or champion ruler which gives +20% exp gain to non-hero units. This can also mean that some units will get more exp than others from the same fight! If P = the percent boost to exp the unit gains, then M = 1+ (P/100). M = 1 when there are no modifiers. If the unit gets +30% exp, then P=30, and which means you would use M = 1.3. If your number of units is less than half the number of enemy units (ex: if you bring 2 to fight against 6), then use the outnumbered equation: G = T*R*M = Some of the experience you would have got from the enemy units is wasted, because the game wants you to use more than 1 or 2 units to clear out fights that involve 6 enemy units, but each of your participating units should get a little bit more exp R = Reduced Exp Distribution = (1 divided by half the number of enemy units). For 5 enemy units you would use R = 1/2.5 = .4 If you enjoyed the video and found it helpful please leave a like and if you want to see more in the future please consider subscribing to my channel. ► Subscribe - ► Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/winslaya/ ► Discord - https://discord.gg/S8rgKX7 ► Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/WinSlaya ► Livestreams - http://twitch.tv/winslaya ► Twitter - https://twitter.com/WinSlayaGaming Available on Steam - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1669000/Age_of_Wonders_4/ Age of Wonders 4 is developed by Triumph Studio.
