Our client wanted a classic/
Our client wanted a classic/ traditional style kitchen. There is an existing chimney breast to work round, for which I create a SketchUp object to better present it for my client. Doing this makes it more realistic.
I use Sketchup in my Articad designs heavily. The models it come with for decorative purposes aren't particularly the best, although some are good and very useful.
I had a clear idea of the colour and overall look that this client wanted to achieve. I just needed to work out whether they could have an island or not. The size of the table and fitting everything else in, whilst considering the amount of workspace dictated the decision in the end.
The client liked the design, but changes are necessary to make the kitchen taller, so as to better utilise the height of the room. Some people like a really tall kitchens, and other don't. I personally do like very tall kitchens, especially using Rotpunkt whereby the tallest standard height is 2440mm at 100mm plinth (plinth available to go up to 200mm).
