Divorce is the process of termination of marriage whereas Judicial Separation is the temporary suspension of marriage. After the passing of decree of divorce, the relationship between the parties ceases to exist and they are free to remarry whereas, after the passing of decree of judicial separation through the parties live apart but their marriage remains intact and they cannot remarry.
Judicial Separation allows the parties to address their issues and repair their marriage while maintaining legal separation but Divorce is an irreversible step and which should be treated as the last resort.
