Chennai witnessed the highest rainfall since the 2015 flood on November 7.  Water entered homes, roads were severely waterlogged and boats had to evacuate several residents living in low-lying areas.

But heavy rains alone does not cause a city like Chennai to flood. If you live in Chennai, flooding will be a recurring nightmare. So will water scarcity. Because in Chennai, floods and drought are interlinke. TNM’s Anna Isaac explains.  #Chennaifloods #Chennairains #Chennai
