Murali and his family await the release of their son Dileep from jail. Vijayaraghavan also awaits but to him on release. Dileep and his family shift their base to Chennai to escape from the hands of the enemies.
Dileep joins the law college there. But situation drags him to fight with his collegemate Riaz Khan. Riaz's sister Ramba falls in love with him.
Her parents propose to Dileep's family. But Dileep refuses and narrates about his one-sided love for Kavya Madhavan during his college days. Vijayaraghavan is Kavya's uncle.
Dileep, in a situation hits her uncle. He takes up a part time job of auto driver and compels her to love him. Dileep in a fight Kavya's fiancé and son of Vijayaragahavan.
So Dileep lands in jail. Dileep's father tells him that Kavya is already married. So Dileep agrees to marry Ramba. Whether Kavya returns or he marries Ramba forms the rest of the story.
