How to ADD and REMOVE Black Bars in DaVinci Resolve 16: The process of obtaining that nice wide aspect ratio when you've filmed in 1920x1080 is an often requested tutorial so in this video our certified DaVinci Resolve 16 trainer, Alex, will show you just how easy this can be achieved in DaVinci Resolve 16 in just a few simple steps.
DaVinci Resolve 16 has a really neat feature called Output Blanking which allows you a way to easily add cinematic black bars to your footage without the need to import .png files or do any tricky maths. Also, you can easily adjust your footage underneath the blanking and then remove the black bars just as easily.
Also, Alex will show you a way to export the wide aspect ration without the black bars in a wide aspect ratio and how you can achieve this WITHOUT having to set your entire project up into this new wide-format which makes it much easier when you have to export multiple aspect ratios within a single project.
