I almost became a teacher myself, but I found out about this other option (and all of the benefits that come with it) and quickly changed my mind. Since then, I’ve helped many, many teachers transition successfully into this field and find it so rewarding seeing these educators happier in their new careers than they ever thought possible.
So, what is this perfect alternative career for former teachers?
Instructional design.
There are so many reasons why a career in instructional design makes sense for former or transitioning teachers, including high job satisfaction, an average salary of $85k per year, and the need for skilled educators in this growing industry.
