If you didn't see some sensor/function during free trial period, it will not appear in PRO version! Paid PRO version will not add any more sensors than you get under free trial period. After 10 connections free trial will end and options will be limited. You pay once for lifetime Car Scanner PRO (circa 7 USD), or continue free version (limitations + ads) I used Torque Pro for many years, but this app seems better in many ways: - now works on Android Auto and Apple CarPlay - just select car profile and ready! - hundreds of preloaded car profiles (extended sensors with custom PIDs) - separate setups for several cars (My cars) - basic is free, PRO is cheap (in-app purchase), no subscription fees - works with generic ELM327 Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapters (avoid cheapest no-name dongles) - DTC error codes, emission tests, freeze frames, acceleration test - displayed sensors are archived • Analyse and export data 📱 Car Scanner... - All Sensors menu records ALL live parameters (optionally) - shows your trips over Google Maps in Data Recording (with GPS on) - relational custom pids (new!) • Kinetic and potential energy (over se... - change factory settings in some VW, Toyota, Renault, Hyundai - VW-coding and long-coding (no extra fee) - export .csv - all EV profiles have preloaded Dashboard screens - fuel consumption (precise only after calibration!) - you can use Car Scanner and make phone calls via car's Bluetooth at the same time Car Scanner ELM OBD2 app (Car Scanner PRO full version, in-app purchase) Android: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ovz.cars… iOS: apps.apple.com/app/car-scanner-elm-obd2/id12599336… www.carscanner.info/ Car Scanner is a good alternative to Carly, EOBD Facile, Carista, FIXD, OBD Eleven, Torque PRO, etc. Settings - Connection profile Generic profile OBDII/EOBD shows only basic OBD2 sensors! Better find your vehicle (or most similar car/engine on same platform). Try several profiles, each has 50-400 parameters, listed in Settings/Sensors. App has profiles for most car brands (VW, AUDI, TOYOTA, RENAULT, HYUNDAI, KIA, SKODA, OPEL, FORD, VOLVO, etc). You can also create/import custom PIDs and relational PIDs, like in Torque PRO. Many diesel profiles show DPF soot, but not all profiles - check before buying PRO. Android - any Bluetooth (or WiFI) iPhone iOS - only BT 4.0 BLE (or WiFi) I use iCar Vgate adapter - can be left in diagnostic port (turns off after 30 minutes). I recommend iCar Vgate PRO 2S Bluetooth adapters are better: - smartphone can connect to ELM327 (for Car Scanner) and to car (for phone calls/music streaming, but music gets lower bitrate) - Bluetooth doesn't interrupt mobile data LTE/4G on phone Wi-Fi should be avoided: - enabling Wi-Fi will stop 4G/LTE on smartphone - often you need to manually find ELM327 again How to connect to ELM327: Android - pair phone with elm327 adapter BEFORE launching Car Scanner. Then in Settings/Adapter ELM327 select elm327 (diagnostic port icon).
