Our latest unboxing review is perhaps one of the most popular crossovers on sale today, the 2017 Ford Escape. However, our tester is equipped with the top-of-the-line Titanium package, thus making literally a luxury compact crossover. No joke. Power comes courtesy of a turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline-four with 245 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. In case you didn't realize, this engine is also offered in the larger Edge mid-size crossover. But you can get it in the Escape for only an extra $1,295. Nice.
Refreshed for 2015, our Escape features 19-inch machined-aluminum wheels, hands-free liftgate, fog lamps, privacy glass, LED tail lamps, Bi-Xenon HID headlights and LED signature lighting. Inside we were treated to charcoal black leather-trimmed seats, 10-way driver and front passenger seats, and Apply CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Yes, these are all premium features but the question is, are they worth it? We discuss that and more in the review. Enjoy!
