Choosing a bit for the horse is based on many things, such as what the horse is used for, driving or riding. Maybe it's going to be shown, maybe it's strong, maybe it's sensitive in the mouth?

First, we must ensure that there are no issues in the mouth, then we must make sure that the bit we try actually fits the horse. Another thing is the regulations, which bits are allowed where you plan to participate?

In this video, I show a bit about what we consider, what needs we have, and how we justify the choices of bits. We need to figure out which bit the young horse should be driven with for the driving test during the stallion licensing, and which bit is best for showing. The horse is sensitive but also a strong 3-year-old Fjord stallion.

I want the exhibition to be a positive experience for both of us, and that I can maintain control despite having many stallions around us during those exhibition days.

Its more important that we have a good experience than the colt being licensed!
