Going through the steps involved
Going through the steps involved in setting base idle on my 1987 r10, but this process will work on most of not all GM TBI engines.
List of Steps
1. Bring engine to operating temperature.
2. Jump OBD1 connector into diagnostics mode.
3. Wait 30 seconds after key on to let IAC close.
4. Unplug IAC and start engine.
5. Turn T20 screw clockwise to raise idle to desired RPM.
6. Key off, remove jumper wire, and plug IAC back in, and lastly disconnect negative battery terminal to clear any stored codes in the ecu.
