Government's decision not to arrest Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir comes before the  Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein Friday. The government is appealing an earlier North Gauteng High Court ruling that it should have arrested Al-Bashir  when he visited South Africa in June 2015 for an AU meeting. Bashir is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur. The high court ruled that as an ICC signatory, South Africa was obliged to arrest Bashir and hand him over. Our reporter Mbali Sibanyoni is at the Supreme Court of Appeal for a scene setter.
