American Loyalist Song - God Save Great George Our King

God Save Great George Our King is the original incarnation of the British national anthem God Save the Queen. Originally written in honour of King George II in 1745 as a rally against the Jacobites who had risen in Scotland, the lyrics were used again by American Loyalists during the American Revolution, this time dedicated to King George III.
