Five people were rescued by the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority as heavy rains lashed the Sultanate of Oman, throwing normal life out of gear.
Flash floods were reported in some parts of the country as the air depression brought in rains and thunderstorms across Oman.
With the forecast of heavy rains, the Ministry of Education suspended studies in most of the governorates.
The authority called on everyone to take precautions and caution during thunderstorms, not to cross wadis.
