There are plenty of pronunciation and spelling differences between words between American English and British English, but that doesn’t mean that one is a lot more effective than the other. It’s all a matter of preference of what type of English you want to learn.. the only issue with this is that some people say that just because English originated from England, their way of spelling it or pronouncing a word is the only correct way to do it. Please keep in mind that the American culture is a lot different than the culture in the UK. Americans say things that are probably not to the liking of many British people, but those are cultural linguistic matters that are pertinent to the American culture.
