Keep your brew balanced and flavourful by flushing out residual oils.

Backflushing your machine after every use plays an important role in the overall cleanliness and functionality of your machine. This is why we have created this three-step tutorial on how you can perform a clear water backflush to help you get rid of the built-up grinds and left-over oils in your Barista Express™ Impress machine.
Directions:
1. Empty the drip tray and place the grey silicone cleaning disc supplied with your machine into the filter basket.
2. Insert and lock the portafilter into the group head and press the ‘1-cup’ button. Allow pressure to build for 20 seconds, then stop the shot. This runs water back into the drip tray.
3. Repeat these actions 3-4 more times for optimum results.
