We cut all five kids' hair in one night. Check out the kids' haircuts and leave a comment below if you have any tips or tricks to share!
I have been cutting the kids' hair for about a year now. It started out of necessity when #princesspea cut her own hair at school but it has proven to be cost effective and fun. We usually let everyone except for #bambam choose their style, mostly because I know what #bambam would choose and I haven't been able to let go of his beautiful blond curls yet. But, today is the day! He finally gets the style he's been asking for since his very first haircut. Check out the transformations and vote in the comments below which one you like best!
When the kids were in foster care, we weren't allowed to cut their hair or change it in any way without permission. Unfortunately, we had a hard time getting permission. However, the laws are changing to allow foster parents to be able to make some choices for their foster kids as if they are their own. We're pretty excited about these changes because they give the kids a small piece of "normalcy" when nothing else in their life is "normal".

We are the Black Family! We went from zero to five kids overnight through the miracle of adoption and foster care. We are learning to be a family together and want to inspire and encourage others to get involved in their state's foster program. We take lots of adventures together but...let's face it...parenting 5 kids is an adventure all on it's own!!
