A few weeks ago I invited you to participate in a Piet Mondrian art challenge: create your own Mondrian variation. Over 50 people participated. In this video I show all their artwork. I never expected so receive so much paintings. From all over the world. In this video I show you how I look at Mondrian artwork and show ideas why it is interesting to paint your own Mondrian variation, because you can learn a lot from his artwork. In this video I show you how to approach his artwork and why it is interesting to look at it. Mondrian artwork always makes me smile because of all the challenges and questions it raises for me. Materials
The art materials I use in the videos are not sponsored.
I prefer to work on multi-purpose paper, more info in this video: How to choose the RIGHT paper for you... In almost all my videos I use with Winsor&Newton Galeria acrylics, if not, I will say so in the video. Other materials I use are in random order: 5, 10 and 40mm brushes, palette knives, acrylics medium, Ecoline liquid watercolor, Lyra color pencils, Lyra soft pastels, oil pastels, Stabilo color pencils, paper palette pad and basic masking tape. I also use household items like a permanent marker, scrub sponge, scissors, paper towel, and so on.
