Ingredients:

500g ground lamb or beef (you can also use chicken or turkey)

1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped

2-3 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference)

2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste

2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (coriander leaves)

1 tablespoon chopped mint leaves

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1/2 teaspoon garam masala

1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to your spice preference)

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon besan (gram flour) or breadcrumbs

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons oil

Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before using)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large mixing bowl, add the ground meat, chopped onions, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, chopped cilantro, chopped mint leaves, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, besan (gram flour) or breadcrumbs, salt, and oil.

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly using your hands. Make sure everything is well combined to get a uniform flavor.

Now, take a small portion of the mixture and press it onto a skewer. Gently shape it into a cylindrical or sausage-like kabab, about 2-3 inches long. Repeat this process with the remaining mixture.

Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. This will prevent sticking and make the cleanup easier.

Once all the kababs are arranged on the baking sheet, put it in the preheated oven.

Bake the Seekh Kababs for about 20-25 minutes, turning them over once midway through the cooking process. This will ensure even cooking and browning.

Keep an eye on the kababs while they cook to avoid overcooking or drying them out. You can brush them with a little oil if they seem to be getting too dry.

Once the kababs are cooked and have a nice golden-brown color, take them out of the oven.

Serve the Seekh Kababs hot with green chutney, sliced onions, and lemon wedges.

Enjoy your delicious homemade Seekh Kababs! They make a perfect appetizer or main course and are sure to impress your family and guests.
