Leche Flan Recipe Oven Baked: Leche Flan Made With GOOSE Eggs: Creamy Flan Recipe Without Cream.

Recipe.

Caramel Sauce.
1/4 Cup Sugar
3 TBSP Water.

Leche Flan.
5 Goose egg yolks
1 Can 385Gram Condensed Milk
1 Cup Evaporated Milk
1 TSP Vanilla Essence.

Instructions.

In a small pan mix the sugar and water and bring to a boil. Once the sugar has dissolved let the mixture come to a boil and the reduce the heat and do not stir until the sugar starts to change color.

Once the mixture has reached a golden brown color you can turn of the heat and pour the caramel into the container. Allow the caramel to cool down before adding the custard ( About 5 minutes should be sufficient. )


For the Flan I used 5 Goose eggs yolks to see what it will taste like. You can obviously use chicken eggs but then the amount of yolks should be doubled.

5 Goose egg yolks may have been a little to much and I will recommend you only use 4 if you are using Goose eggs.

The custard is super simple to make.

Just ad the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and gently mix them thoroughly.

Strain the mixture into the desired containers.

Cover them wilt foil ant put them in a water bath, then put the entire water bath into a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for one hour.

Remove from water bath and allow to completely cool before placing in a fridge. I feel it is best left over night in the fridge and enjoyed the following day.

The goose eggs gives a richer flavor to a dessert that is already extremely rich because of the condensed milk and evaporated milk.

The goose eggs lends a distinctive flavor to the Leche Flan that I actually like but I feel it may be a bit overpowering for those people who do not like rich foods.

I feel that 4 egg yolks would have been more than enough because 5 yolks made the flan rather " Heavy"

I like the way that this flan came out and will use goose eggs again for this recipe.
