Our company policy is to offer all our customers free upgrades to the latest Bitdefender product available on the market for the remaining days of their subscription period. These upgrades are rolled-out automatically after the launch.
To manually upgrade for free to the brand-new Bitdefender 2020 simply download the latest installation kit from Bitdefender Central and follow the instructions presented in the installer.
► The first thing you'll need to do is open your web browser, go to https://central.bitdefender.com/ and sign in with your Bitdefender Central account.
► Select ‘My devices’ in the sidebar and then click on the ‘Install Protection’ button in the upper left corner. Click ‘protect this device’, choose ‘Me’ in the ‘Select device owner’ window, save the installation file and then run it.
► Wait for BitDefender 2020 to download all the necessary files. Check the box after you read and accept the ‘Subscription agreement’ to continue installation.
► You'll be prompted to restart your PC during this process. This is necessary in order to uninstall the old version.
► After restart, the BitDefender installation will continue. Hit ‘yes' to resume the installation process. After a short wait, bitdefender will be done.
► Click ‘Start using bitdefender’ and sign in to your Central account.
► Click ‘finish' continue and you'll be all set. Bitdefender 2020 is now installed on your computer.
