With the exponential growth of the FinTech sector in India, apps like PayTm, FreeCharge, PhonePe, BHIM have become daily drivers of the modern livelihoods. Big players are jumping in this sector too with Google launching Tez on Sep 18, 2017 in India. WhatsApp is reportedly working on integrating payments features on their messaging platform too.
- Tez is available on iOS and Android as of now.
- It works with the new UPI platform and also supports the traditional way of using Account no. and IFSC to send and receive money.
- It has also incorporated an innovative technology that uses sound-waves to send and receive money between nearby devices that have Tez installed.
- With UPI, it can pay directly from a added bank account and it doesn't require you to load money in a wallet.
- Google has added extra security features over the standard UPI security features to make Tez more secure.
