Watch This Video Before Building A Brick Walkway - Landscaping Tips

I'm not about to suggest this is the only way to build the brick walkway or the best way, but it is one that works better than simply laying the bricks on the ground or in a thin layer of fill. Something I forgot to mention in the video and might mention in another video if needed is that the bricks need to be laid in a bed mortar between 1/2 and 1 inch thick on top of the concrete walkway.
