Speaker 1:          Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Tucson electronic sway control system for trailer brakes. Designed to work for one up to four axles. The part number is 335TSC-1000.Now our Tucson sway control system has been designed to constantly monitor our trailer yaw. There's an accelerometer inside that can sense when our trailer starts moving side to side in those sudden onset sway events and will use the trailer brakes to get ahead of that and correct it. Essentially what it's going to use is a proprietary algorithm that can determine the difference between a quick steering situation, like if we're trying to avoid some trash or some debris or something like that on the road, or whether we're in one of those quick onset situations where our trailer is really getting out of control. When it senses the latter, when we're starting to lose that trailer control, this is going to send a signal through the purple and the pink wire, to either the left side or the right side of the trailer, that does this with its superior processing capabilities. This is going to be able to take all the critical elements needed and figure out exactly how much pressure, how much force, should go to each side of the trailer, and in what rhythm and in what pattern to get this under control. We can head down the road, and we won't have to worry about those sway events that can be quite scary and without the proper sway control system, requires a lot of immediate action from the driver to get it back under control. This system handles all of that for us.

It's going to completely eliminate that, so we don't have the need. Now there are some real advantages to using the sway control system like we have here with the Tuscan. Essentially, this eliminates the need for the old style sway bar, or whatever would go kind of on the side, the friction style, that would go on the side of trailers. With those, inclement weather comes up, they don't work right. We can't back up with them, so you're out trying to take them off, just so you can back into your spot.We don't have to do that with this.

When the snow comes, when the rain comes, and we're trying to get it added on to our trailer, and we just don't have the patience for it and we put it back, and we just haul without it. That eliminates that unsafe situation that we might put ourselves in just because we don't have the time, or the energy to get it done right. We put this in once, and we never have to take it off. We never have to put it back on. It's always going to be there functioning, keeping us safe, and heading down the road straight. Now let's take a look at kind of how this system is going to work and how we wire it up. Over-all the system takes maybe two, three hours to get fully installed if your trailer already has existing trailer wiring.

It's not really that big of a headache. We've got a full description right here of where exactly each of our wires need to go. So it's a really good time saving product that will prevent us from having to hook that up. And if we happen to forget, or not want to hook it up, it'll keep us safe while we're heading down the road. The most critical point, is that we want this box to be within five to 10 feet from the ball connection, or from our trailer couplet. So we want to be within that spec, and we want the little red dot, right here with the two black lines, we want that to be right on the center of the trailer.

That gives us maximum effectiveness of our system. You can see here the purple wire, that's going to run to the left side of the drivers side, electric brake output. So if you've already got your brakes running, you just tie that in to the side you're using for your positive. The pink is going to go to the right side of the passenger side. S you've got the purple there, and the pink there. The white, this is going to go to the trailer battery, or the frame grounding point. Our blue wire, that's going to be the signal from our electronic brake controller. That's going to be on our tow vehicle. Then our black wire, that's going to be for our 12 volt DC power source, whether that's coming from our tow vehicle itself, or a large onboard battery that's in our trailer. We don't want to use it on one of the small break away batteries, we want a full size battery, if we're going to run this off of that. There's also going to be one small, black wire that runs off, it doesn't have any writing, or any printing
