Building work on our stone
Building work on our stone cabin renovation got hot & heavy this week, as we set about the next step in transforming this tiny house!🥵💪
We’ve waited patiently for a month as our DIY hand poured concrete window sills cured & now we have the slightly daunting task of lifting & installing the weighty slabs safely into the window openings of our little cottage.
Because we’re building our stone house alone with limited man/woman power, we always try to work smarter not harder (emphasis on the word “try” 😁), so we knew we needed to prep thoroughly & figure out a way to move the sills in stages to not risk breaking anything - the sills or our bodies! Will we live to tell the tale??…SPOILER - We did! 😉
